Sound Archives & Musical Instruments Collection (SAMIC) Collaboration with the University of Turin and the Museum of Soundscape of Riva presso Chieri (TO) in the framework of SAMCI project (Sound Archives & Musical Instruments Collection) coordinated by prof. Ilario Meandri (UNITO). This project aims to develop the first national CMS (Content Management System) and the first Linked Open Data system dedicated to the digital cataloguing of musical instruments. The Geomatics Lab for Cultural Heritage has contributed to the project by acquiring and modelling high resolution digital replicas of popular musical instruments belonging to Collezione Torta of the Soundscape Museum, and by optimizing these models for online publication and dissemination purposes.
