PRIN2017 B4R – Branding for Resilience
The project “B4R – Branding for Resilience. Tourist infrastructure as a tool to enhance small villages by drawing resilient communities and new open habitats” was funded by the PRIN 2017-young program, among the research projects of significant national interest and involves researchers from four universities: Università Politecnica delle Marche (PI), Università degli Studi di Trento, Università degli Studi di Palermo, Politecnico di Torino. The multi-disciplinary research project, lasting 3 years (beginning 02/2020) investigate the potential of branding strategies for the development of small resilient villages in fragile territories, by architectural and urban design intervention with minimal infrastructures impact and use of local resources. The foreseen impacts of the project are related to four Italian territories of the so-called internal areas and concern the reactivation of socio-economic and rehabilitation dynamics, not only related to sustainable tourism. In particular, the contribution of Geomatics, geospatial sciences and GIS is oriented to provide 2D and 3D analysis tools for the phenomena and spatial transformations in the project area. The expected results of the research outputs in the Framework project unit is concerned to the publication of a collaborative digital Platform and an Atlas in which for exploring and mapping the project area.
